Stan Freeman Biography

Stan Freeman grew up in Huntington, New York, graduated from Cornell University and attended the MFA program in fiction writing at University of Massachusetts in Amherst. He has worked for more than 25 years as a newspaper reporter in Western Massachusetts, mainly covering science and the environment. He has also published news articles in more than 25 newspapers. His short stories have appeared in several literary magazines and he won a fiction writing fellowship from the Massachusetts Council on the Arts and Humanities. He lives in Northampton, Mass.
